Gavin and Elaine Charlton started the Ministry in 2001. Gavin is chairman of the board and helps with oversight as well as being very involved with volunteer mentorship. Elaine manages the project on a day to day basis and mentors the staff members.
Eric started at MusaweNkosi in 2011 and is the site manager at the Entoyeni Home. He is responsible for the day to day problems such as getting 30 children to school and buying food and maintenance materials. He also helps with the homework, does devotions and oversees the staff.
Londi has been with us for 9 years. She is our social worker. She liases with the Department of Social Development and makes sure we are compliant with their norms and standards. She also counsels all our children and is called in for any social problems found in the community.
Colin and Rebekah Cooper joined the team at the end of 2019. Colin is full time at MusaweNkosi Ministries and has been helping Eric with some of the problems at the site. He is also going to be spearheading the training academy. Rebekah’s focus is on raising awareness, fundraising and communication.
Mama Shandu runs the Enseleni project. She has been there since 2009. Her responsibilities include managing the feeding scheme as well as being a liaison between the community and MusaweNkosi. She is well known in the community and is often called when problems arise.
